Wild Flowers of Britain and Northern Europe

Rate this book
Covering more than 850 species, this field guide to the wild flowers of Britain and Northern Europe has an introduction for beginners which explains how to identify wild flowers. The book is designed to accompany the enthusiast on walks through the countryside, and is colour-coded by species for quick reference. A whole page is devoted to each of 250 species which are discussed in detail. The flowers are grouped together in families, and running text describes each plant, while a concise data-panel makes identification quick and simple. The accompanying illustrations include details of flower-heads, leaves, seed-pods and other features, and labels pick out the best clues for identification.
