The photos were great, no new info in this book. Thin volume, not very informative.

The writing style took a little while to get used too, but it ended up being a really good insightful look into some of the personal aspects of Marilyn Monroes life. It wasn't very in depth (only about 230 pages) but it did give a really good intro into the rise of Norma Jean, and without a doubt crushes some of the rumors surrounding her untimely death.

I was a bit worried before I started to read, as book by family members can tend to be really poorly written. This was a very refreshing book, as it was a complete change from everything else out there about Marilyn Monroe. By this I mean it's simply memories, and not speculation, gossip, theories, celebrity name-dropping, etc.
