A magical adventure that carpets the reader into enchanted lands! Author Said Magdi has create nothing less then a veritable Time Machine, which transports the reader from Egypt to France and many points in between. The characters and narrative are so wonderful and original that one comes away from this superb book feeling as if they have truly been on a magical expedition!

An enjoyable and interesting novel exploring a human drama unfolding in Egypt during the late 1700s. The adventures, friendships and romances that took place among the many characters as well as the historic events, gives us a real desire for further reading. I loved this book from beginning to end and hope that there will be a sequel to it.
