Nice concise introduction to the topic but it stays only at the very surface - at the end of the book if you didn’t know a thing about Dada you have a vague idea, Burt if you knew the basics then this book is not bringing anything new
This is a slim selected catalog from the 2005 Dada exhibition at the Pomipdou Center in Paris, brought back for me by a friend. Decent overview text of where and when various Dada groups were active and how the ideas spread, and -- most useful -- lots of large photographs of the work itself. But it would be even better to have a broader cross-cutting of Dada work: I think the output in aggregate becomes much more interesting than the individual pieces.
