Faith goes to Bramble TX looking for a twin she never knew she had. What she finds is a case of mistaken identity, a smokin' hot cowboy, who tries everything to seduce her, a small town full of quirky busybodies, said busybodies refuse to believe she is Faith and not her twin, which causes a ruckus and a dog named Buster, she almost accidentally kills, well, almost on a daily basis.

Being TEXAS born and bred myself, I was cringing at some of the satirical stereotypes of a small Texas town, but on

Going Cowboy Crazy is Katie Lane's cheeky debut novel about life in a small Texas town...and she has hit the ground running. Her style is a mish-mash of Susan Elizabeth Phillips (quirky but loveable secondary characters), Rachel Gibson (believable romance between two polar opposites) and Vicki Lewis Thompson (sexy, swaggering, modern-day cowboys). This is one of the sweetest books I've read in a long time and was just what I nee
Such a fun read, I enjoyed it from beginning to end! I couldn't put it down, even though I was forced to because of other obligations, I would make an excuse so I could go read a chapter. I just loved all the crazy characters and Slate was sooo sexy, I just wanted him to be himself sometimes and show his temper, but he stayed so in control.

The story was a little farfetched, but I still loved it. It was about a set of twin girls who were separated at birth and they don't know about each other. S

I loved it! A fun, sexy read that will have you laughing out loud!

Quite a few tmes I found myself shaking my head and saying 'really, 'honestly' and 'you're kidding' - it was totally unbelievable that so many people could be as stupid as those who live in the town. There were a few comical scenes that made me chuckle so all in all a nice read but not one that is outstanding.

Full review coming, but I LOVED this great West Texas romance.

My Review:
Being a Texas gal at heart, this book had all the things that my TX heart cowboys, rough & tumble trucks, Friday night football, and a great honky tonk.

Faith came to Bramble, TX looking for her twin sister, Hope. She just found out about her at the age of 30. What she finds instead is an entire family that she didn't know about, a town that takes her into it's embrace refusing to believe that she's not Hope, and

Going Cowboy Crazy is a sensational debut from author Katie Lane- smart, funny and sexy!

When Faith Aldridge’s mom reveals a shocking secret, the shy and sheltered thirty-year-old sets out on a road trip to find the identical twin sister she never knew she had. Her adventure starts in the small town of Bramble, Texas, where the townsfolk mistake her for her sister and town’s sweetheart, Hope, and no amount of denials will change their mind. But the sexy golden cowboy and the towns favorite quarte

It's a well written, very entertaining, small town story.

I like Katie Lane's writing style and crowded secondary characters, vivid scenes and dialogs she picturized. I should add, romance part was not one of the best part I liked, well I liked but not much as I expected. Though, it was better most of the other CR books, I've read. Importatn things is, there was a solid plot and a very good story development. I was content to read a good CR book.
First in the series Deep in the Heart of Texas by Katie Lane. A fun but somewhat far fetched contemporary romance. Being a fellow Texan I could relate to some of the antics. Their stereotypical love of football and egos as big as the state itself. Yes, I can relate. Faith's reactions and those of her family didn't ring all that true with me but it was still a fun witty read
I really enjoyed this! The story was different but it was awesome, I was waiting for something HUGE to happy and we'll it really didn't, but never the less it was still good.

I really enjoyed this book.

It was a perfect oleo of spicy romance, small town Texas humor, and twins separated at birth. I mean seriously, if you told me all this I would almost have to hate it on principle, but it was just so much fun.

The first half was fun. The last half was thrown together with stupid assumptions.

I was angry and felt the author wasted my time with stupid reasons for fights and conflicts between the couple.

They are falling in love. She plans to leave soon to return to her job in Chicago. So when he wants to talk and take her to the dance, she says no she has another date. He’s angry and leaves. She didn’t have a date. She found one later. She had decided that she and Slate “were not compat

As I have a deep-seated fascination with cowboys (and guys in tight jeans and a cowboy hat!), this book cover and title caught my eye. I went to very few of the publisher signings during the 2011 RWA National conference, but I found myself walking through the Grand Central signing as I had a couple of friends signing. As soon as I saw this book displayed I headed for Katie Lane's table.

I don't know Katie and had never read anything by her. (She has another book out that I also picked up and rea

GOING COWBOY CRAZY is a very fun book! I love the characters and the whole premise of the story. Faith Aldridge, having recently learned that she has a twin sister, travels to a small town in Texas to meet her. She shows up and the whole town mistakes her for her sister, who lives in Hollywood. I loved how everyone in Bramble treats her from the beginning. One person tells her her short hair (which is very different from her sister’s extra long locks) is “kinda cute in a short, ugly kinda way.” ...more

Spoiler Ahead This was a good book that was at times funny also. Faith Aldridge is a computer nerd who grew up in Chicago goes to Bramble, Texas looking for her long lost twin sister named Hope that she learned about when her mother died. When the people of the town see Faith they think that Hope has returned home to be with her long-time flame, Slate Calhoun, and the "Faith" is her screen name. Everyone in Bramble, including Sheriff Winslow, plans to do all they can to heat things up betwee ...more

I really enjoyed this book. There were a few laugh out loud moments - specially when Faith was dealing with the dog! Football is a big deal in Texas and it was funny how the whole town was telling Slate things. Shows that twins can be very different but yet be the same in some ways. Can't wait to read the next one.

This book was a lot of fun. The characters were great, it was hard to out down. It was just really sweet and funny throughout.
I had a bumpy ride with this book. I love small town romances, the simplicity of the people, the close knit feeling, so this book seemed right up my alley. I started off with great expectations. I follow Faith as she moves into Bramble, and gets mistaken for somebody else. It's so obvious; people call her 'Hope' and welcome her with open arms, and what does she do? What would any sane woman do? Clear up the confusion. But no! Faith is 'too stunned' to react initially (hello??!! didn't you come h ...more

I made it 14%. Which is amazing, because I was ready to give up at 3%. I don't like it when the foundation of the whole plot rests on a ridiculous and pointless lie. But I pushed on to see how it would go.

So at 14%, we've met Faith - a shy, Chicago-based woman who is on the hunt for her long-lost twin sister, Hope. Faith goes to Bramble, Texas to track Hope down, but Hope has long since moved to Hollywood. Cue everyone immediately thinking that Faith is actually Hope. The blurb made it sound lik

Faith Aldridge came to Bramble, Texas looking for one thing: her long-lost identical twin sister, Hope. Having grown up in big city life, Faith has to cope with small town mentalities, considered this small town is under the impression that this city girl is actually their town sweetheart. Now they are fixing to do anything to keep her in town and heat things up between her and Hope's long-time flame Slate Calhoun.

Slate isn't fooled by the way the two look. Faith feels completely different in hi

I loved this book! I read it in two days, it was a fun delicious read. I love cowboys.....Slate is not your normal cowboy working as one but he is a modern cowboy from Texas. I can't really describe the high points of the story without giving away the story. Some of it wasn't entirely believable but was enough fun I went with it. I loved the story and loved the ending.

This was an extremely funny read.

Faith Aldridge shows up in Bramble, Texas to find out where in California her identical twin sister Hope is. Until recently she never knew she had a twin. When she walks into a bar hoping to get answers she is immediately mistaken for Hope who has been gone for 5 years. Faith is a big city girl from Chicago and has no idea how to take all these crazy people and their small town Texas ways. Seems the town wants her (thinking she is Hope) to get back with her high

Well, I gotta admit that being a freebie download, I almost always feel a slight amount of trepidation when starting out. However, in this instance, I was proven wrong in that on occasion, freebies really can throw up a truly hidden gem.

I was immediately drawn into the story due to the twin plot (I'm a twin myself) so this had an advantage from the get go. But Katie Lane has such a talent for writing lovable, normal and also downright quirky characters, that you can't help but fall in love - wit

I read to page 166 and I just couldn't go any further. Faith is looking for her separated-at-birth twin sister, Hope, and when she gets to town, Hope is gone. The town thinks she's Hope and she goes along with it. She's attracted to Slate, and the town is thrilled that Hope and Slate are "finally gettin' together again", but after she sleeps with Slate and then figures out Slate and Hope dated in the past, she's furious! Even though every word out of the townsfolk's mouth alluded to it and the l ...more

I loved this book. It was my first book by Katie Lane and will not be my last. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. Faith is Hope's twin sister but they know nothing about each other since Faith was given away at birth. Faith tries to pass herself off as Hope who had gone to California but everyone thinks has returned to marry Slate her high school best friend. Faith is the complete opposite of Hope and Slate knows it. The sparks fly between the two of them. Let the adventure begin.I had ...more

“Stop!' Faith yelled and held up her hands. 'Slate, you're not going to beat up my father.' She wiped at her eyes and looked at Burl. "And you're not going to beat up my boyfriend.'
'Father?' Burl's eyes widened.
'Boyfriend?' Slate tipped his head.
'Good Lord,' she mimicked Jenna, and strode back through the door, leaving both of them standing there grinning like idiots.”
