As per my review of vol.2. I like the well balanced characters and story. I guess I can also see why the story lacked the progression.
It has a lot of golden potential but it also faces a danger of quickly running out of steam, which a lot of high school shoujo's risk. Once the central character acknowledges his own self worth and gets the girl, what else is there?
I guess the story could continue from Maki's perspective who is teeter-totting on a bromance/boys' love perspective at the moment. Even his character is set on rails. Unless he decides to come out of the closet and his story follows down a boys' love path, I'm not sure how much you could get out of him. Most like a few DJs but I'm not seeing enough for a spin-off series.
Still, I applaud Sensei for the refreshing, good, shoujo.
Hehe this was a bit cheesy, but I liked that it was a guy who got a makeover. What's best about the series is the protag is searching for the meaning of 'cool'. I like the ending. I thought it was great. Hehe if you want a light fluffy read, then this is it. Short and sweet :).
