Short story (~150 pages)
The main characters are only grossly depicted and do not have real flesh behind; they also behave inconsistently with what they are supposed to be. Their dialogues are probably supposed to sound like witty banter, but it's childish and falls short almost all the time. Given the inanity of what they talk about, I never believed for one instant in their attraction and then falling in love.

Lena’s Review:

CJ Randall has sworn to never fall for a guy and she has good reasons. Men are only good for one thing and even that is something worth holding her breath. She knows she’s not gorgeous like the blondes around Bryce Danvers or have the body like they do. So it baffles her why off-road race drive Bryce Danvers would want her. This book was laugh out funny! My first by the author who normally writes NASCAR romances but this one is set for off road racing. The heroine is smart, funny and curvy. The banter between the hero and heroine made me grin. I could not put my Kindle down and it's been a long time since a book kept me this interested! The sexual tension between C.J. and Bryce was defiantly felt and I love how the author kept the sexual tension building till near then end. I can’t wait for the sequel!

It was okay. It just seemed incredibly unbelievable. Danvers appears sweet at the start, but you never really get to know him.

With over a million books in print, Pamela Britton likes to call herself the best known author nobody’s ever heard of. Of course, that’s begun to change thanks to a certain licensing agreement with that little racing organization known as NASCAR.

Nowadays it’s not unusual to hear her books being discussed by the likes of Jay Leno, Keith Olbermann, or Stephen Colbert. Flip open a magazine and you mi
