This book was published in 1988 .Even though Elvis died in 1977 there have been many discoveries / developments since the book was published . The internet was only just getting started the entire , section such as the song index has been superseded by web sites such as Keith Flynn's excellent web site .The book also probably gives false hope as it refers to songs Elvis may or may not have sung live .Many have never materialised .
That said if you can find a cheap copy it is a good starting point .One to be dipped into rather than read .The material is just factual and does not comment on the relative merits of films/songs etc .

I own a copy of Elvis his life from A to Z and highly recommend it if you want to know everything and anything about the king this is the Encyclopedia to get
