I don't think this book will ever be on the "read" shelf. It's an AMAZING guide for visual analysis. It a compilation of authors and theories about images, image construction, image creation, image reception, etc. If you are studying photography, cinema, aesthetics and even psychology this is a good guide.

يتناول الكاتب اهم المشاكل التي تطرحها الصورة ضمن مقاربات: الصورة كظاهرة خاصة بالادراك وكغرض ينظر له المشاهد الخ.. وتعتبر الصورة من اهم التجليات الرمزية الصادرة عن الانسان وتناول الكاتب هنا الصورة المرسومة يدويا او تلك المصورة اوتماتيكيا او الكترونيا، الثابتة منها والمتحركة.

Levantamento e descrição teóricos sobejamente mal escritos. O último capítulo, sobre a imagem artística, dá pra aproveitar um pouco.

Obraz je jeden velký soubor filosofického podchycení obrazu jako takového – od jeho vzniku v oku po užití v estetice a jazyku společnosti a jedince. Kniha má své silné stránky a i když jsem se v některých pasážích nechytal, jako celek je to určitě dobrý zdroj pro nějakou seminární práci, nebo klidně i diplomku. Když se už tenhle zdroj neuchytí v akademické sféře, je rozhodně zajímavé si jej přečíst i ve volném čase, protože opět nabízí nové hledisko na jedno z médií, kterými jsme obklopeni 24/7. Tahle skutečnost mě ale přivádí k tomu, že se tuhle knihu nedá hodnotit a u tohoto názoru zůstanu. :)
