If Jesus promised to spend Christmas with you, how would you prepare? And when needy neighbors interrupted your preparations, how would you react? The hero in this classic story of delight and despair, sacrifice and celebration shows us the beauty of a life where Jesus is not just a guest in the home, but a resident in the heart. American icon Andy Griffith brings new life to this timeless tale. Included in the back cover of the book is a CD which has a narrative of the story by Andy Griffith. This special CD also features Andy singing Go Tell It On The Mountain , from his latest Christmas album.
This is a very short book and well worth reading! Andy narrates the tale on a CD, where an older gentleman dreamed that the Lord told that He would visit him that Christmas day. But as midnight approached, the Lord still had not come, only 3 people: a shabby beggar, a tired, cold lady and a crying, lost child... I especially liked where Any Griffith wrote, "May you feel the love of Jesus Christ and share His goodness with others every day of your life." Wow! This short book would be worth readying yearly and sharing with others!
This is a little book the size of a CD case. It has an introduction or foreword by Andy Griffith & scriptures, a story about an old man who prepared his home for Christ, but He never came, instead he helped three people. There are also some quotes, I really like this one:
One needs a neighbor on whom to practice compassion. ~ Phyllis McGinnley
On the CD at the back of the book there is a song, "Go Tell It On the Mountain." I remember singing it in high school choir. Andy Griffith narrates the Christmas Guest.
