Qısa və olduqca əyləncəli bir kitab idi. Baş qatmaq üçün oxuya bilərsiniz, kitab çoxuna boş gələ bilər ancaq fikrimcə qısa olması və hadisələrin uzanmaması yaxşı idi

I love Susan Wiggs, but I think I loved the Lakeshore Chronicles so much that I can't give this one a fair shake. Too short for as much character depth as I'd like. But, overall a very good story. I enjoyed it.

The Borrowed Bride

Great surprises and terrific action. A lot of people in the story stayed in the background but love won out.

I liked this short, sweet story. When I say sweet, its not without challenges in it though. Just like the book information says, its harder than she thought it would be. Also harder than Dan thought too. Although I liked it, it wasn't really deep but I did enjoy it for what it was. The main characters were good, each working things out. Isabel had to work to recover who she really was, and to stop lying to herself. Dan, was the hot, dangerous guy who never fell out of love with Isabel but had ...more

The Borrowed Bride by Susan Wiggs
Isabel Wharton lives on Bainbridge Island in WA and has a nursery business. Anthony is who she is to marry.
At her bridal shower She is whisked away by past love Dan Black Horse to the Cascades Mountains for an overnight stay. At least they will finish the business they never finished.
He tried to explain about the Indian reservation and his family roots and what he wanted to do with his life besides being a #1 singer. He tells her she is making a mistake marrying
Jill Cohen
This is a very interesting story told from an uncommon POV, American Indians. The characters are interesting and so are their back stories. That's the good news.

The bad news is that this is little more than a long short story.

One thing I love about Susan Wiggs books is that they are so rich and full. You can really get lost in them. There is one part of this story that I could relate too 100%, but the story is just too short.

In the end, while it was an enjoyable read, it left me wanting more.
I didn't realize that this was one of Susan Wiggs' first books. It's a short story about Isabel who is about to get married when her first love appears and takes her away with him. While trying to show her how much he's changed, Isabel has to look inside at her Native American roots and come to terms with issues she's buried. You can see a familiar story style being developed here.
