I couldn't get very enthused about this book, in fact I feel asleep more than once. Maybe because I was reading in bed. Maybe I would have liked this in a different stage of my life. Your mileage may vary.

Brilliant himself is at a loss to explain why this particular book took a calendric bent. But since it did, he took the time to restore the months to a sensible order (so that, for example, September through December are the 7th through 12th months), and then assigned dates to each illustrated aphorism, including, of course, one for the sporadic Feb 29.
All that remains is to issue the thing as a calendar some leap year. The next would be 2012 (though you'd have to start the calendar in March 2011). Any takers?
