Begins with a theoretical orientation, foundation for practicing art therapy, and Malchiodi almost lost me there...but after getting through the foundational chapters, full of beautiful vignettes, black and white photos of art experiences of her clients and some of her own work, and an array of art activities. Furthermore, Malchiodi draws heavily on the metta sutra and the dharma, which fit my framework for beliefs about human behaviour, so as a practical book this very much works for me.

Amazing book. she incorporates many different philosophical theories that prove art and creativity can be used for healing. There are so many practices and suggestion for using art as expression. Excited to continue my self expression through these different activities.
