A process that goes far beyond the confines of classrooms and assignments, the education of the heart includes many spiritual dimensions that are no longer recognized in formal education. Dr. Osguthorpe describes the place of faith, love, joy, reverence, discernment, and humility as they apply to the education of the heart.
This book caused a lot of pondering as I read it. I was in no hurry for reading of this book to end because I relished the thoughts that it brought on.
I highlighted and made visible on Goodreads thing that struck me as meaningful.
This was one of the first books I found unpacking. I read it in 1 1/2 days! Now I'm going back through and making notes. I know I read it years ago, and wonder what I was thinking at the time. I believe this is a must read!
A good book. It tackles the subject of spiritual learning by covering some of the standard Mormon ideals of education but also by introducing some unique and thought provoking insights about the importance of learning in life and how it should be done.
