What is Orthodoxy?

A short explanation of the essence of Orthodoxy and of the differences between the Churches. We can say that nowadays we live in a time in qhich the world is united. We can no longer talk about East and West as in the past, as being two absolutely separate things. In the spiritual sector, however, many lesser or greater problems arise which create questions, A great many of the foreigners (usually catholics and protestants) who visit Greece and its important monuments, among which are christian monuments (Holy Mountain, Meteora, etc.), that have been admired for centuries, have a Isn't it the same Christ Whom you and we worship? What is keeping us separate? and what is Orthodoxy which you so strongly defend? In the following pages we will try to give a quick but comprehensive answer 1) What is Orthodoxy? 2) What are the reasons for the schism between the Churches? 3) What other differences exist between the Churches that keep us separate even now?; 4) The Protestants, and 5) What are the presuppositions for a true and Godly union.

Good little book that mainly discusses the differences of the Catholic and Protestant Churches compared to Orthodoxy and uses these points of difference to explain parts of the Orthodox faith. This book appears to be a translation from another language, most likely a Greek and the translator has made some significant typos and spelling mistakes. Someone should have proofread this before sending it to the printer.

Basically Rome is the schismatic church, Orthodoxy is the one true church. Expounds the Orthodox view on Catholic-Orthodox relations without engaging the Catholic tradition.

Sums up nicely the main points of dispute between the orthodox church and the catholic and protestant churches, while highlighting the dogmatic essence of orthodoxy.
