Let me start out by saying that i will be writing one review for this manga. At first i had watched the anime that was adapted from this manga and i fell in love with the characters. It is a funny, cheesy kinda gender-bender romantic plot.

Compared to the anime, the manga had far more details and other stories involved.
Ok enough with the anime.

As i mentioned before the plot is a comedy, cheesy romantic, gender-bender...

Whoa... I really really loved this volume a whole bunch. And while the ending seemed a little bit ridiculous, I didn't mind because everything was coming together so beautifully. I really have appreciated Hatori-san's characters in this shojo. Haruhi specificially. She isn't your typical female lead. She really brings a fresh, new perspective and characterization to someone who does fall in love. The storyline with Tamaki's family has been very interesting to read, and I can't even lie, I totall ...more

I can't believe the next volume will be the last! And that this volume ended on such a cliffhanger!

But it was nice seeing everyone come together in the final episode. I'm not ready to say goodbye to this series!

I'M SO SAD!!!

Okay, I enjoyed the ending of the anime. It was just as crazy as the rest of it had been. But this...this is so much better! I don't think I could love Tamaki any more than I do right now. And the dedication of his friends? Of the rest of the school?! Just perfect.

Nearing the end of the series and so many things are at stake. The previous volume broke my heart with how Tamaki treated Haruhi and the end of the Host Club. Although the Suoh family relations with each other became even more strained, in this volume we get to understand their intentions and how they are not that different from each other. I love seeing Haruhi be more confident about her feelings and wanting to help a Tamaki. But really everyone was ready to help Tamaki. It just shows what a ki ...more

I loved the story of Tamaki's family. It *felt* real. It almost had me on tears, but it was wrapped in such a beautiful way.
But... honestly, I don't want to finish reading. This series turned to be addicting, funny, and extremely cute. It's one of those things you read because it *feels* right, like you've been somehow meant to read it.
The characters stole my heart... The plot stole my sleeping hours.

Haruhi Fujioka is a scholarship student at the elite Ouran High School. All the students are wealthy, well connected and seem to have scads of free time on their hands. While this series takes place predominantly in the high school, there is actually very little time devoted to class room sequences.

Haruhi walks into a room when she begins school and she accidentally knocks over a vase and breaks it. She is wearing a boys uniform and has her hair cropped short, so she is mistaken for a male stude

It wasn't until the end of this volume and the author's note that I realized this was the penultimate volume of the series. It definitely had that vibe throughout the whole thing, though, in the best possible way. Things are starting to wrap up, and this volume deals with a few of the biggest storylines in the whole series: Tamaki's secretive and manipulative family and Haruhi and Tamaki's relationship.

Haruhi has grown a lot over the course of the series, and in this volume, she was finally able

I have always been a fan of Ouran High School Host Club. After a year of not reading them, I came across this book at a library and decided to go ahead to borrow them. The characters are still as funny as ever and the sitations albeit weird, they are hilarious to the max. What really captured my attention about this book is that how Haruhi's life changed since the day she met the Host Club. There's no denying that the Host Club has pretty vast characters and that each one of them has their own u ...more

Wow! This volume was amazing, so much suspense and emotion!
In the first episode Haruhi skips school to think over everything she knows about Tamaki’s situation and then decides to return to her old scruffy attire since she no longer has to make an effort for the Host Club as its been shut down (which was a really sad thing in itself).
The second episode shows Kyoya researching Anne-Sophie’s illness while Tamaki tries to gain his Grandmother’s acceptance. The rest of the Host Club meets to discuss

Today's post is on Ouran High School Host Club volume 17 by Bisco Hatori. It is 192 pages long and is published by Shojo Beat. The cover has Tamaki on it looking sweet. As it is the seventeenth in the long running series you need to have read the first sixteen to understand the story. The intended reader is someone who likes over-the-top humor, good characters, and long plots. There is no language, no sex, and no violence in this series. The is mostly told from Haruhi's perspective. There Be Spo

Review posted 2/6/2012 at Owl Tell You About It.

This one was much better than the last. I think volume 16 was just building up to this one and that’s why I wasn’t enjoying it as much. This volume is full of big revelations and a couple of curve balls. The whole volume focuses on the drama with Tamaki’s family. I have to say, I like it so much more when volumes have a central story they follow throughout, as opposed to those with fluff chapters. They keep my attention better. It really does feel

Wow! That was intense! So good!!! :D
I had a feeling that Hatori would radically change my opinion of Tamaki's grandmother with the power of awesome writing and character development. That instinct has been proven today, since I did feel bad for her when she was forced to resign. And goddamn was I ever proud of Tamaki when he found out about that. He's so loyal! Not a bad bone in his body! He's grown to be such a good, strong man and this may be weird, but I'm so proud of hi
