Life at the palace is splendid for Princess Jasmine and Prince Aladdin. With Aladdin's birthday coming up, Jasmine wants to find him the perfect gift, so she sets off on a Magic Carpet ride with Rajah the tiger. She is determined to track down the coveted camel coin Aladdin is missing from his rare-coin collection. It's smooth sailing until Magic Carpet suddenly loses its power, leaving Jasmine and Rajah stranded in the desert! Will the pair find the coin and make it back to the palace in time for Aladdin's birthday? With colorful illustrations throughout and a sparkly, glitter-filled cover, this early chapter book is sure to delight!
My nephew absolutely loves all things Disney, so I wasn't surprised when he picked this from the Kindle Unlimited "library".
It's Prince Aladdin's birthday and Princess Jasmine wants nothing more than to surprise her husband with the elusive coin that he needs to complete his collection.
The characters are almost all from the movie, with two new "friends" being introduced.
There isn't a sinister plotline to follow, which I like. Magic Carpet quits working and Jasmine seeks help in the marketplace so that she and Rajah can get back in time for Aladdin's birthday.
I enjoyed this tale and thought it brought up small but good things for children to think about. It’s a great chapter book for elementary kids. The illustrations are in color. Fun side story in the Aladdin world!
Lovely original story about Jasmine searching out a special camel coin for Aladdins birthday. Sends a great message about independence, caring for others, and adventure. The illustrations are gorgeous.
Such an interesting story about Jasmine's advenure to look for the missing coin on Aladdin's birthday. I highly recommend this book to young readers of all ages.
As with the other Disney Princess starter chapter books, this one doesn't disappoint. This series effectively conveys the essence of the film's characterization (which I admit is nowhere near perfect in the first place but the continuation of which is key for maintaining the focus of a very young audience) without changing the original facts. The result is a an easy book for young readers who are in love with the films, as my daughter is, especially due to the colorful illustrations every few pages. In this volume, we open on Aladdin polishing his new coin collection; with the help of the cutesy animal characters from the original film, Jasmine tracks down the final and rarest coin for her new husband's birthday. She runs into necessary obstacles along the way and makes new friends in the process. My daughter loved reading this one and can't decide which of the other ones she wants to start next!
A very nice book read. 8 short chapters and beautiful illustrations throughout. My complaint is that it teaches young minds that snakes are not to be feared. Snakes are danger, maybe not all, but enough to be wary of them. ✨✨✨✨✨
My daughter loved this one. There was action, a princess doing something kind for her prince, the ideas that possessions have to be taken care of or they won't work anymore (the magic carpet "breaks down"). For the little ones it seemed like the action was on going and my four year old was riveted until the end. I had to read the whole thing in one sitting! :)
Cute! I am loving these early chapter books about the Disney Princesses. The plots are short and sweet and the reading is pretty easy to follow. They do a great job of making the books read like a "real story," not just a simplified version of an actual story. I also enjoy that the stories aren't re-tellings of the movie, but stand alone stories about the princesses after the movie ends.
I really like this series. The story is about jasmine trying to find the very rare camel coin for Aladdin on his Birthday. Will she make it back on time for his celebration.
This book was about jasmine trying to get a camel coin for Aladdin since he didn't have it in his collection. I liked it because the journey was interesting and funny.
We focus on Jasmine this time and what she will do to surprise and make Aladdin happy. She travels with Abu and carpet and we meet some new friends, Rana and Zudhi.
