So I went to my "first" day of college today *yay* I say "first" because it started on Wednesday lol I was traveling though, so I didn't go to my classes. I came today and discovered that I had not only missed 10 classes of math, but that I also have a math test tomorrow. Isn't that amazing? *scared* I finished half the exercises already and decided I needed a break, so I finished this volume. It's impossible to study math all day. I feel like I'm losing brain cells.
So, what to say about where the story is going? WE HAVE A LOVE TRIANGLE TADAM. Kind of, though. Nanami is in love with Tomoe and Tomoe to Nanami, but Kurama likes her too. He keeps trying to get her attention. I think he only likes her though because he is a rock star, and Nanami is the only girl in school that doesn't fangirl him every hour of every day (because she loves Tomoe <3).
Tomoe: He is the star of this manga. While I usually don't like 'bad boys' (usually cough cough), I have a spot for Tomoe. While he's a douche to almost everyone he knows, especially when he is jealous, he is always very protective of Nanami (and thank God, otherwise she would be dead already). He is almost always in a bad mood, but that's his charm. It's an 'I just got kicked out of bed' mood, not 'I want to kill a puppy' mood, so it's pretty funny. He doesn't admit he likes Nanami though, he says he will never fall in love with a human. Keep lying to yourself, buddy.

Nanami doesn't piss me off! I usually find female characters annoying as hell in mangas because they are always 'hiding'. They blush, they never say what they think, or they cower behind their boyfriends. Nanami is different. She is very strong-minded and it was pretty obvious in this volume. There's a part when Tomoe is turned into a kid (SO FREAKING CUTE) and she was very protective of him. She tried everything she could to cure him even though she doesn't have any real powers yet. Her courage was admirable.
All in all, this manga is seriously giggle worthy, and I needed something light after reading 'The night circus'. It's very funny and cute, I love it.

Baby Tomoe is so freaking adorable!! He's a cinnamon roll that's too precious for this world (until he opens his mouth to speak) and must be protected at all costs!!

This just keeps getting better and better!!! I love being back into this world and with all these characters. I missed them so much and I missed Tomoe the most, I just love him so much!!!! I'm definitely gonna continue and possibly binge read this series

I enjoyed this one a lot more than the first manga. It was a lot more action packed and I loved the new characters that were introduced. The artwork was beautiful as always and I just loved this volume. I'm looking forward to reading the next instalment. Oh and before I forget to mention, I absolutely adore Tomoe's new appearance, who knew long hair on guys could be so sexy! ;)

I'm really starting to like this series...but truth be told, it's because of Tomoe XD I love everything about him... his expressions (mostly his smug looks), his features, his demeanor, his behavior...he is greatness! Though now with the introduction of Kurama, he's pretty great too! Not as great as Tomoe though... he's a lot to live up to :-p
Nanami was pretty awesome in this volume to! I'm happy she is (at least for now) a slightly strong willed female lead.
On to #3!

In sostanza, Tomoe è un bullo adorabile. Diligente servitore divino, resta "calmo" cercando di abituarsi alla natura umana di Nanami, tuttavia se qualcuno si azzarda a minacciarla, ecco che viene fuori il suo carattere sadico. Infatti lui non è un normale servitore divino, ma un demone molto potente che ha accettato di servire la divinità precedente per motivi che si sapranno più avanti. Perciò, guai a chi lo fa arrabbiare!
E poi in questo volume viene trasformato in un bambino tenerissimo!
La versione di Tomoe con i capelli lunghi? Mi astengo dai commenti :D

This was better than the first volume, but the series needs to decide whether it's a slice of life rom-com with a folklore twist or an action danger series where yokai are coming after our main character. I'm still not down for the Nanami-Tomoe ship and I think Tomoe's character is SUPER stereotypical, but their interactions are fine. On to the next one.

Cute and a quick read. I like Tomoe more now than I did, and the lion-dogs and their mean master are a fun addition to the story.

What to say about volume two of Kamisama Kiss. I mean there is a lot to say, we get new characters, we start to see Nanami possibly liking Tomoe more than a friend or guardian, oh and we get BABY TOMOE!!!! Which safe to say I wanted to cuddle baby Tomoe and then there is long haired Tomoe and I am just like hot damn!
And then there is Kurama. Oh good ole Kumara. I definitely am worried about a potential love triangle situation. And we all know how much I “love” those. However, I am not thinking this will be the case or at least I am holding out that it won’t be. More than ever I think Kurama wants to get Nanami’s attention because she is the only girl that doesn’t like him nor puts up with his bullshit! Also, at the moment Nanami has more things to worry about than a super idol at her school. Like some sky demon lady trying to take the shrine from her. Also her eyes are for Tomoe only!
The character development is slowly moving a long and I have to say I don’t find Nanami annoying or insufferable. I have always found that female manga characters tend to be meek and not able to stand up for themselves. Just pretty faces. Nanami is definitely not like that and she proves it many times. I think it has to do with not having a mother and dealing with her father who was a gambler and drinker. Her hardships made her strong.
And then there is Tomoe who is slowly starting to realize that maybe Nanami is going to be the one that doesn’t leave and will stay by his side. He has never had anyone to rely on and you can see that he has the best interest for Nanami in mind and while he hafts tough he definitely wants to take care of her. He is the “bad boy” with the soft heart trope.
Also I love the antics between all of the characters. Especially Nanami and Tomoe, as well as Kamura and Tomoe! I could secretly see Tomoe and Kamura be begrudgingly BFF’s. You know the ones that hit each other and are all manly but will have late night chats with tea or something.
This series is definitely already picking up speed and with 23 more volumes to go I can’t wait to see what Suzuki has in store for us! After I read the manga series I might have to rewatch the anime. Lol I might just start it now!

Ce tome était vraiment bien . J'ai apprécié de voir Tomoe en forme mini mais aussi avec les cheveux longs... Quelle beauté !
J'aime aussi Kurama pour l'aide qu'il a apporté à Nanami. Par contre simuler un vol pour passer pour le "sauveur" c'est moyen moyen!
Onikiri et Kotetsu sont vraiment trop mignons, je les aime de tout mon cœur!
Petit big up au passage où Tomoe part et que Nanami se retrouve "rejetée" du monde des humains mais aussi de celui des esprits. Mon petit cœur s'est brisé :(

Drugi tom tej cudownej mangi, który był jak pierwszy… no świetny, co mam powiedzieć. Przez pierwsze jakieś 6-7 tomów będę znała dokładnie tę historię jako mangę, bo to reread, ale i tak czy siak świetnie się bawię podczas odkrywania świata i bohaterów. A te są tak świetnie stworzone, że płynie się przez kolejne strony i rozczula nad kolejnymi świetnymi chwilami. Nic dodać, nic ująć.

Kamisama Kiss je jedno z mých nejoblíbenějších komediálních romantických anime, které existují. Proto jsem ráda, že ho mám i doma. Druhé volume bylo neskutečně roztomilé - maličký Tomoe, Kurama na scéně, scéna s pštrosem... Nyaaaa!
