Presents a comprehensive review of the material covered in Introduction to Music courses in colleges and universities. In keeping with the courses' content, this review book covers the elements of music and provides a historical survey of music.
Has some interesting information, but all around boring. It did have musical terms and random misc. musical data that took hours to try and understand. But it was nothing I couldn't learn from Google or Wikipedia in under 5 minutes. In fact I used music blogs to study for my exam and did better then half of the class. I would say its best to avoid reading this book like you'll get a chronic disease from simply opening the cover. I would give it negative stars if I could to be honest. On the other hand, if you're looking for something to put you to sleep give this book five stars.
