This towering monolith is a source of excitement and activity of climbers, geologists, storytellers, and even the fun loving prairie dogs. Devils Tower National Monument, located in northeastern Wyoming, was proclaimed America's first National Monument in 1906 to preserve this 867 foot tower of columnar rock.

Not as well written as other volumes in this series, which is sad, because the author is said to be an English teacher in Hulett, WY.
