I was hoping for a bit more historical context, both on Buddhism as a whole and on the scriptures listed. Instead, it just ends up being a book of quotes--nice enough, but not particularly informative.

I love this little collection of Buddhist scriptures. I think it's a great introduction to Buddhism and there is so much wisdom and insight to be found within the pages. I'm definitely interested in reading more from the Buddhist scriptures and I'm excited to learn more about this way of life. Namaste.
