The Arkonides have developed a new technology that should enable them to follow spaceships on their trip to hyperspace. This should allow them to find out about Earth’s location.

Luckily a counter technology is availably thanks to the Swoons. But this in not enough. Rhodan sends the Tigris to a special mission. The Tigris jumps seemingly by accident into an Arkonide system. The crew is captured and they think they could get the coordinates. The crew destroys the memory banks but leaves enough data for them to get the position. Only this is part of the plan. There are wrong coordinates to fool the Arkonides, that is the Robot Regent.

Okay, nice idea and nicely written. Why Rhodan himself must come to rescue his men is something I do not understand. Should he not spend some time just governing?
