Yes I read and reread it. Yael --and I know her so I'm allowed to call her by her first name--had so little family left she recreated one in poetry. What's amazing is that I feel I have met them so well did de reveal them in their multifaceted portraits. She does not play with language in a technical way--there's none of that Metaphysical 17th century structure to fall back on, nor does she draw on the later conceits of 20th century poets who whizzed is with their genius cadences and shifting al ...more
