Ok - probably not something you would read from cover to cover in one sitting, but this collections provides a superb way of getting to know that incredible city. Particularly appealing are the outer boroughs walks including a fascinating trawl through Queens, taking in the World Expo site, the little China of Flushing and Corona Park. Equally good is a mammoth tour of Brooklyn's Carroll Gardens and Brooklyn heights. I am still to tackle the Bronx and Spanish Harlem graffiti tour but it's very high on the agenda.
