Artists from Japan, utilize either digital or more traditional media to create the most mind blowing creations of their young age, and there are none of them that are aged more than 27. Secrets are revealed as to how they create their incredible artwork, which can be seen on the pages featured here. They show that they excel in techniques in manga, anime, stylization and illustration. The book also showcases a look at each artists' step by step character development.
A very colorful book, these artists' are next level!!

I'm not hugely drawn to most of the illustrations (except for the works of Sunaho Tobe, Ryuya and Yoko Tanji). However, I did enjoy the artists' explanations on how they made their respective art pieces; I found them interesting and valuable. This is not for me, but I would recommend it to people looking for informative art books.

I bought this book with the intention of knowing more techniques with regard to the coloring process, something I'm struggling with. And indeed it seems to be what this book focuses on. If you you buy it because you want to learn how to draw, this book will NOT show you how to do that. This book assumes that you already finish your preliminary drawing and want to know more tips with coloring and polishing. And honestly, even if the tips shown are not useful, I still love the book because of the beautiful gallery for each artist included. So, if you are a beginner who wants to learn more about the basics, this book is probably not for you. Overall, I think it's worth buying if you're interested in learning more about artist's style and working flow, or just to have a book with beautiful illustrations.

I bought this book when I was 10 in 2003, It amazed me then and I still love it now that I'm 22. If you wonder what you'll see inside basically it shows you around 3 pages of the work of an artist(each represented by the faces on the cover) and then a step-by-step section with pictures of their proccess making one of the works featured. I think is great for anyone, but I feel its ideal for teens and pre-teens who are thinking of pursuing art as a career or just enjoy it very much as a hobby.
