My parents, as did many Stead Air Force Base personnel, recieved an autographed copy of this book from the author at a party at Harold's Club for NCO's. I read the book soon after.
I realized there was a great many things in the world I didn't know outside of the small town/Roman Catholic/military enclave that i found myself in.
It's not great literature, but it opened so many new worlds!
