I have to say, this book is pretty disappointing. It's got nice photography, and a few interesting flavor combinations, but I was really disappointed that several of the recipes feature cake/brownie mix as the first ingredient. It might be an okay book for young kids who want to create something on the easier side, but it's definitely not for people who have more advanced baking skills.

One of the only recipes that looked interesting to me was the recipe for Brown Sugar Apple Cookies.

Overall a good cookbook. The recipes were very easily explained and it had some fun recipes too.

It would be good for novice bakers, who are still in the "oh my god how do ingredients go together?!" stage with most of the recipes requiring boxes of cake or pudding mix, store-made cookie dough, and cans of frosting. Calling directions on how to decorate cupcakes a certain way a "recipe" is a stretch though, since it's just a list of candies to put on.

Pretty pictures though.

If the pictures weren't enough to make me hungry the recipes are easy enough for a non-baker. I made the chocolate chip cookie cupcake for my husband's birthday last year! He loved all his two favorite baked goodies together!
