I'm not sure if this book would be all that impressive to the average anthropologist, but the material itself is pretty amazing. Goodwin has taped several years worth of girls and boys playground conversations. There's some bullying stuff that would make your hair curl.

No big conclusions but a nice piece to put in your arsenal if you're tired of citing movies when you talk to people about girl and boy behaviour.
