This is one of the books in exploring economics series for children and it is a great way for children to get to know about money, how to earn and spend it. The words are big and the photos are fun. By the time when you feel a little bored or confused, you have reached the end of the book.

This is a realistic look at economics that uses terms and scenarios in which children can relate. For being rather sparse on text, the author does a fabulous job of explaining the difference between goods and services, wants and needs and includes a chapter on making choices. Like the other books in this series, there is a glossary, suggested reading and an index. Each chapter is only a couple of pages. These books are light on text, big on photographs and can be used with young children, just how young depends on the topic. This one in particular I would recommend using with children in 3rd grade on up.

I love this book to teach students about economics. It is not all informational it does have a story and I love that it is colorful and engaging to the readers to keep them to keep going. It also gives all of the vocabulary that is needed to know to read the book.
