This is one of the first books I read by myself. It was actually a translated work in telugu, My mother tongue. I couldn't find it here but the cover image was the same. This book was instrumental in nurturing two of my major components of my life- reading and animals. It taught me compassion and spirit of adventure. This book probably is also responsible for my wanderlust. I probably read hundreds of books and stories so far but this book always remains the closest to my heart.

It is a very first book that I remember my mother reading to me, that I've learned by heart. It's a kind and sweet story for little children and very easy to remember, don't know about the English translation, but for Russia and Ukraine it sounds good.
Чудните приключения на доктор Ох боли и неговите приятели маймунката, папагала, Бутни-дръпни и цялата менажерия край него - един красив полъх от детството.
pohadky na dobrou noc, ale trochu nasilne delene kapitoly mi tam vadily, jinak slusne dve pribehy, spousta postav a a Barbaby a pirata Hrombajzla mi bylo i trochu lito...
