Summary: You need to think different in business now.

Gee, really? No kidding. The world changes and business needs to change too. The author asks the right questions, but too often the answers are business as usual. How can we increase sales? Be more personably.

I would pick up this book and skim the chapter titles, nothing more.

بالكاد قرأت نصفه بعسر شديد، ليس لأنه يقدم أطروحات صعبة الفهم أو عميقة ولكن لعادية أفكاره، ولا أدري ما هي تلك الشركات التي أوصت بالكتاب لموظفيها لكي يستفيدوا منه على حد زعم المؤلف في مقدمته، مؤكد أنها شركات في مجاهل أفريقيا أوشكت على الافلاس أو مؤسسات بائسة تعيش في القرون الوسطى، الكتاب بداية لا يخاطب الجمهور العام ولكنه موجه بالأساس لرواد الأعمال، وقد أورد كلمة العبقرية في العنوان ليوحي للقراء المساكين من أمثالي أنه يحوى بين دفتيه أفكاراً للوصول إلى العبقرية أو لتحسين طريقة التفكير أو يبين كيف يفكر العباقرة مثلاً، وبالرغم من هراء أغلب كتب التنمية الذاتية التي تحقق آلاف المبيعات إلا أنها تقدم للقارئ جرعة أدرينالين تجعله ينطلق في سباق الحياة ولو بضع مترات قليلة، أما هذا الكتاب فهو لم يفعل ذلك، فهو يقدم أفكاراً بسيطة ومستهلكة جداً يعلمها طالب السنة الأولى في كليات التجارة والاقتصاد، بل ويعرف هذه الأفكار وأكثر منها من هم لم يتلقوا تعليماً من الأساس، كالاهتمام بالعميل وبخدمة الصيانة وخدمات ما بعد البيع كذلك وجوب الحرص على تقديم القيمة المضافة للعميل وتطوير الخدمات الخ
وقد دعم الكاتب هذه الأفكار ببعض القصص حتى يضخم حجم الكتاب، وهكذا أكل عيشاً وأرزاً على هذه النظريات العادية والمعلومة بالضرورة للعامة والخاصة وأبى أن يقدم ابداعاً يليق بما أورده في مقدمته
