This is a good beginner book for younger readers to introduce them to Spider Man. It has the 'basic' of what Spider Man is doing good when others thing the opposite. But he likes to help those that need help. The words aren't super easy but aren't super hard either so would be a nice beginning reader book to try and get your youngsters to read. I read this to my almost 3 year old granddaughter and she enjoyed it; looking at the illustrations and she understood the words as I read them.
I jokingly suggested Daughter read this book and she surprised me by saying she wanted to. The illustrations are much different than she is used to and I think she enjoyed the more life like pictures. I enjoyed the helpful attitude Spiderman talked about -meaning it was less about "fighting crime" and more about good deeds. Would definitely recommend for little boys who like heros.
It's not the most developed book I've read, but it is nice for beginning readers. I like that it focuses on the good he does instead of showing him taking down the bad guys in details. I would use this for introducing a good deeds activity. I would ask my students what good deeds they have done for others.
