Essays loosely organized by season describe her New Hampshire farm, her horses, her bond with the natural world, and, occasionally, that connection to her poetry.
Found this among my mother's books, read it for the nature writing which I enjoyed. I was less engaged by her love of horses--which certainly do require a lot of work.

A way of life that was passing in 1987, lived as a poet. Precious.
