Genre: picture book- religious picture book
Awards: none
Audience: grades K-2
A. This book is a religious picture book because it discusses a child's love and understanding of God.
B. The illustrations in this book are simple as they show a little girl's life and her thoughts. Lots of colors used in this book and they help create a mood of happiness. Every other page is black and white. The black and white pages are still content as they have shadows and show excitement. On one of the black and white pages, the little girl is thinking about swinging with fins in the ocean. The reader can see her joy with her thoughts. The reader is happy when the little girl is happy.
C. I would use this book as a guided reading book for new readers. The sentences are short and easy to follow. New readers should be able to read this book independently with little help. We can discuss the feeling when someone loves and cares for you.
D. Name a place the little girl was seen in this book?
- The little girl was seen in her bedroom.

October 5, 2010Each line from the psalm is given a page or page spread. Illustrations are a little dated, but I like how it was presented here since it is one that some kids books water down or leave parts out of.

July 3, 2012I think it is a wonderfully, simply, written book that helps children understand all things about God.
