Hunter's Review

Azrael Thunder Horse has to be one of the hottest heroes I’ve ever encountered and that was just a small part of what I loved about this book. Cheyenne is a wonderful, heartfelt heroine who really makes you like her. The love scenes these two share are some of the best ever written.

But what really got me about this book—what really made me stand up and take note—was that this book is about acceptance. It’s about accepting other people’s cultures, about finding yourself, understa

I have always been fascinated by Native American studies and love the beauty portrayed within it. With such symbolism and passion it amazes me that there are not more love stories out there that involve such a theme. Perhaps that is why this one came as such a pleasant surprise. Short but sweet, Woman on Fire shows how the actions of one’s past can dictate one’s future if they are willing to be

MizLoveLovesBooks review...

Right from the beginning, despite the bristling emotions and the fact that Az and Cheyenne have got off to a bad start, the sexual tension sizzles. Az employed Cheyenne based on her NA name, and when he comes face to face with her for the first time and sees she’s a redheaded Caucasian, he isn’t very pleased. He’d wanted a “real” NA to teach at his school. However, he doesn’t know that Cheyenne is a real NA, albeit in mind and sp

Interesting story about 21st Century reverse discrimination...

Woman On Fire by Fran Lee, is a fun story about a woman who is a teacher of Native American Studies even though she looks far from having anything to do with being Native American. Cheyenne Red Wolf was raised by her mother and Native American step-father, and even though she is as white as a crayon (red hair and blue eyes, as well) she has tried her whole life to be the dark haired, dark eyed Native American girl she has always wante

Fran Lee’s Azrael Thunder Horse is the focus of this Book Boyfriend Report. Like every other guy he is confused about what is right in the world and he needs a good woman to see him through. Just works out that the woman he hires to teach Native American Studies on his reservation has more of a Native American name than a Native American Heritage… as a matter of fact she is Anglo… just what he has been trying to keep out of his res.

Azrael Thunder Horse marches into the classroom after school to meet Cheyenne Red Wolf, the newly hired Native American Studies teacher and is stunned to find a fair-skinned, red-headed woman who knocks him for a loop. Cheyenne is horrified that her new boss is such an arrogant, high-handed, annoying, gorgeous man.

Azrael was not expecting an Anglo with a NA name, and is annoyed with himself that he finds her incredibly attractive as well. Cheyenne not only has all the qualifications for the posi

So this was the second Native American story that I have read, the first is Nothing But Sex. And I am delighted to know more knowledge about everything. Who doesn't love to know a lot of things? Anyway, this was a good one. Especially the dream walk- did I say it right?- because it was a date thing and usually it happenes when the person have a deep connection with their God. Their Indians right? Or not? What about Navajos? I've read something about Navajo and in there is the inipi which was als ...more
