Brilliant, bold, and totally anodized aluminum makes it easy to create fun and eye-catching graphic jewelry. This entry-level book introduces the simple yet gorgeous art of coloring pre-anodized sheets of aluminum using such techniques as dip and overdyeing, hand painting, dripping, spraying, silk screening, and more. Twelve step-by-step projects guide readers through the process of turning the colored aluminum into jewelry. An extensive gallery throughout will inspire them.
The book had nice designs but seemed vague on details. I was left with the suggestion that if I want to make my own metal, I'd need to have others do the electrical part or I'd have to spend 10 grand to buy a machine in order to start.
The designs were nice and creative, but paled in comparison to the photos of jewelry others had created. Unfortunately, the reader was not made privy to how the "professional" jewelry was made.
