The books in the new Learning About Sex series aid parents and teachers in the often-difficult task of introducing and explaining the wonderful, God-given gift of sexuality. You want your children to know your wishes and God's plan for their sexuality but today's movies, music, and books may not contain information you want your children to have. "How to Talk Confidently with Your Child about Sex" helps you find the right words to ensure that your children have a Christ-centered understanding of one of God's most precious gifts.
I really liked this book as a basis for where to start, What to share, and when. I appreciated the frankness of the author and the gentle way she approached tough topics. This is (as stated on the cover) very clearly a Christian values approach to sex which includes only having sex while married but it does not turn a blind eye to the fact that many Christians still find themselves in situations of sex outside of marriage. I wish the author was more knowledgeable on topics such as the intact penis/circumcision. I do realize this may not be the newest edition of the book and some information may be outdated. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone with children at home that need help on where to start with the sex talk.
This book guide you mostly from the christian's point of view how to raise your child and be aware of how delicate the matter (sex) can be towards parent and children.
