Finally! A practical no nonsense book that tells it as it is, and breaks through the shame and disconnection that occurs when one partner wants more or less sex then the other. If you have a different libido to your partner (which will be most of you just from a biological stand point if you are heterosexual) then read this book to help you break through Hollywood sex-hype and understand the reality of human sexual intimacy.

Too clinical and way too long for me. The author has a lot of sex experience, but I thought she spent too much time identifying and discussing things that seemed more to fill pages than address the basic issue.

Revealing and useful

Amazing discoveries for both my wife and I reading this book. Meaningful changes afoot to the positive in our relationship as a result of thoughtful personal and by doing the exercises that the books outlines together with my wife. This book quite literally has provided us the opportunity to get beyond some major issues (that heretofore were unrecognized) and provide the real opportunity to save our marriage. This book and the other title “Taking Space” (different author) I would credit as important tools to saving our 24-year marriage.

Even if your drives aren’t that different, this book has great insight to the vast array of “normal”. It helps you really appreciate your significant other’s perspective, no matter how similar or mismatched.
