Carew has created a beautiful new mythology. The Dillon's illustrations are wonderful and rich.

I was given this book as a child and although I didn't understand the story as much as I do now I LOVED the illustrations and I loved the beauty of the book. I was even a little frightened by how angry The Sun got towards the end. That's how vivid the book was for me.

I recently learned that my copy went missing but if it were still in print I would definitely buy this for my child.

I won this book as an Art prize in primary school back in the 80s, & the exquisite illustrations left such an indelible impression on me that if I close my eyes now I can still visualise almost every page.

Having read this story, I must say that I was amazed. The plot line was great and the illustrations were beyond phenomenonal. I would highly recommend this story.
