Aids in the identification of North American birds, describing their appearance, behavior, natural habitat, and rarity, and showing how to systematize avian groups and attract different specimens for observation.
This book is not so much read as used as a resource when needed.
I find it is a comprehensive resource for some of the most common birds in North America. The illustrations are solid and the organization and information well thought out. It is also small and light enough to be carried in a pack while out in the field.
