She has had a long career as a teacher education professor and has written eight books spanning many topics—managing challenging behavior, respectful communication, developing social and emotional skills, reducing stress, and cultivating mindfulness. All her books translate research into practical tools and strategies. Half of the profits from her latest book, A Daily Dose of Mindful Moments: Applying the Science of Mindfulness and Happiness, will fund grants to educators to implement mindful moment practices.
