Share the wintry wishes and dreams of Cinderella, Ariel, and all the Disney Princesses in this sweet step 2, Step into Reading. For the first time, the Princesses come together in a seasonal story that is bound to have young readers learning to read while making their very own winter wish!
This book is about the Disney Princesses winters. Each princess describes their winter. It starts with Snow White spending time with the dwarves. The make some cookies and decorate. Then it moves onto Ariel. Ariel is under the sea and spending time with her sisters. Belle makes a feast with Mrs. Potts. Aurora sings a winter concert. Jazmine makes a wish to have a snowy winter. Cinderella is the last to appear and she has fun in the snowy coach ride with her Prince. This whole book is about making a winter wish just like the Princesses.
This beginning reader follows different Disney Princesses as they celebrate winter. "Winter" is pretty much a stand-in for Christmas, which is never directly named, although maybe it’s Christmas’s forerunner Yule being celebrated.
This book is very good with rhyming and I think if other step into reading books are as good on rhyming as this one is, it would be a fun activity to use the topic of the book, and allow the children to write poems based off the topic (this one would be about winter wishes).
