Con Mi Hermano / With My Brother is about a little boy who admires his big brothers and aspires to be just like him when he grows up.
Con Mi Hermano / With My Brother is an easy-to-follow text in English and Spanish that makes this story of the close relationship between a little boy and his older brother warm and reassuring in either language.
Very sweet. Although, while the Spanish/English bilingual story is very helpful, I find that sometimes the translations didn't always match up. I've noticed this in other similar book and often wondered if it was the translators intention or if stories are just described differently in each language and maybe direct translation would be ill fitting? Still, it's a sweet story. I wish my children got along that well :)
I liked this book because it talks more about a day as a young Hispanic boy. Every young boy could picture them self in this book. Both English and Spanish translations are in this book.
I would want young boys to read this book so that they can relate to other cultures.
I loved this book when I was a kid, and I was in a Spanish immersion program in school. I found the book again at work today, and was surprised that once I started reading it, there were some parts that I remembered really clearly.
This is a beautiful bilingual book for preschoolers and early readers! It tells how a boy admires his older brother. The older brother deserves his praise. because he is loving to his little brother!
