I originally selected this book because I was appointed as a spiritual assistant to my local Secular Franciscan fraternity, and knew little about their background and rationale. In reading through the book, however, I came to know not only the basics but some of the true spiritual wisdom to be found in the Secular Franciscan way.

I have to admit I read this book a little faster than is recommended: it is broken into fifty two 'reflections' designed to be read, pondered, prayed and considered

I will be using this book in the future. Many of the reflections will be useful in the future to repeat as I continue in formation with a Franciscan order.
