She Who Dreams: A Journey into Healing through Dreamwork

Rate this book
Wanda Burch dreamt that she would die at a certain age; her dreams foretold her diagnosis of cancer, and then guided her toward treatment and wellness. She took advantage of all the healing resources available to her, but Wanda believes she is alive because of her intimate engagement with the dreamworld. Through powerful prose and practical exercises, this book demonstrates that wisdom lives within each of us, and we can tap into that wisdom through dreamwork.

An incredibly inspiring memoir of a life lived through dreaming. Wanda Easter Burch transformed her dreams into meditations and actions as part of her healing cocktail (which also included surgery and chemotherapy) to cure herself of breast cancer. But it is much more than just a manifesto on the healing power of dreams. It's a lesson in how valuable our dreams can be in informing every aspect of our waking lives when we pay attention to them and honor them.

Trust your dreams, pay attention to the patterns of repetitive messages. Perhaps the thought of discussing your dreams with your physician throws you off balance - know this: your dreams reinforce your intuition - and vice versa. Not only as an indication of things to possibly come your way, but also as a way to manage your way forward.Even if you can't remember your dreams, trust they are there nightly. Jot down something any fragment that surfaces - interestingly more will want to seep through from dreamland to waking life. So much is happening with 1/3 of your life - why not pay attention?
