Terrific insight to this flamboyant Glasgow master blender. So his rise and rise in the the whisky world and in doing so gives a great look into the modern whisky industry and how it where it is today, well worth a read for whisky/history fans alike.

This book was given to me when I was attempting to expand my knowledge of whiskey. It remains one of my favorites. I have read other books by Gavin Smith. Explanations are laid out simply for even the most novice of whisky drinkers (which I am). I will say to not let this be your only book. It is a good compliment to many other books, but, in particular, Let Me Tell You About Whisky, which garnered 5 stars from me.
