Whether you're an assembly line supervisor, a church pastor, a school principal, or the CEO of a multinational corporation, the Old Testament Book of Proverbs offers timeless principles for leadership success. Management by Proverbs explores twenty-five of these principles with incisive commentary, dozens of contemporary examples, and plenty of practical, road-tested advice. Join Dr. Michael Zigarelli as he presents Proverbs as you've never read it before. Michael Zigarelli, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Management at Messiah College and the former dean of the Regent University School of Business. He is the author of ten books, including Influencing Like Jesus, The Minister's MBA, and Cultivating Christian Character.
Nothing short of Biblical wisdom coming from this book!
I really enjoy how Zigarelli links each claim and idea to a relevant study or piece of Scripture. The wisdom within this book has inspired me to manage my life according to God's way, not my ways or desires. I also appreciate the practicality of the solutions presented here, there's nothing that you wouldn't expect from a Biblical self-help book. Yet, the wisdom here is refreshing and not repetitive, which made this an easy and beneficial read.
Read as the textbook for Principles of Management at Messiah University, taught by the legend himself.
I honestly didn’t expect for this book to be that good, since the version I borrowed from the library is poorly assembled with a horrendous cover and font. Pleasantly surprised. Many insights into management with the perspective of Proverbs. Really good.
A really good book that will help shape your thoughts in the work place. Too often Christians compartmentalize their work lives from their spiritual lives. We then tend to listen to the latest management advice and forget to check advice to the standard of Scripture.
I had the privilege of studying under Dr. Zigarelli during my MBA at Regent University. This book was part of his syllabus and re-reading it after 20+ years work experience is refreshing. The wisdom is timeless and he is a careful exegete. I highly recommend it.
Highly Recommend this book! Lots of great, true stories to tie in to the Proverbs! It's fun to read and puts a lot of leadership management principles into focus.
