Discusses the physical characteristics, behavior, and life cycle of eagles and describes many individual species, including the African fish eagle, bald eagle, booted eagle, and harpy eagle.
This informational book has great pictures and interesting facts about Eagles. I am not sure how much I would want to use it in classroom for the information, however, because I realized one of the facts in it did not match up with any other resources I found on the topic. I would use it in my classroom to show pictures of the bald eagle when talking about American symbols.
This book is for upper elementary grades. Although illustrated, there is a lot of text on each page. Nonfiction in nature, there is a plethora of information on eagles and eagle species.
