One of the most precious, useful and insightful Tarot decks of my collection. I have been using it for the past 20 years. The cards help you see the intimate nature of being. Each card is an allegorical journey to consolidate body, mind and spirit. The drawings, simple but timeless, offer creative, artistic and earthy ways to live in harmony within and without. It opens multi-dimensional doors on the nature of self and the Universe.

This book came to me in a strange way. I gave my friend a copy of A Course in Miracles and he gave me this tarot set. I use it almost exclusively now. There's one notable difference in this set from the traditional set and that is the element she associates with the Arrows (Swords in a traditional set) is fire, not air. The suit of Pipes (or Wands in a traditional set) is associated with air. I'm more comfortable with this as swords are forged through fire and wands cut through air. She uses female images for the main "characters", associating women with strength and men with supporting, nurturing roles. She interprets these cards in a different way as well. To me, it's easier to look at the card and know what's going on just from the images. You can start to learn the basic steps in reading and little by little delve deeper into each card's meaning.

The concept of the deck appeals to me although the images themselves are a bit simplistic for my tastes. For the major cards,the "original" name is lightly visible at the top of the card with the assigned Medicine Woman interpretation at the bottom of the card(ie Wheel of fortune = Harvest). Images predominantly female white/blond with just a bit of diversity thrown in. I have only the deck, not the deck/book set.
