published in 2002 and though a LOT has changed in the quilt world, this book is still relevant. The pages are vibrantly colored and detailed. It includes examples of a variety of quilts from whole cloth, Baltimore, Sampler, Crazy (Victorian), string, and strip quilts to story and innovative styles. There's a block by block section which isn't exhaustive by any means, but has about 60 examples. It flows into color/fabric choices, doing a mock block. Batting choices are given and though there are new battings on the market now, it has examples of what happens after washing with each batting they used. The A-Z is what falls under each letter. Example, F foundation piecing, S Sashing, W Walking foot and washing quilts. If you're new to quilting, this would be a great book to borrow or buy.
